Finishing Salts
We source our sea salt off the Kona side of Big Island. It remains untouched from depths of 2,000 feet below the ocean’s surface until it's harvested and solar dried. We add only freshly harvested local herbs that we dehydrate ourselves to make sure you receive the best tasting finishing salt possible.
Finishing Salts
Hawaiian salt has been embraced for centuries, and was traditionally used to preserve abundant catches and bless canoes before long voyages. When used in moderation, Hawaiian salt is an excellent way to maintain the body's electrolyte levels due to its high mineral content and natural amounts of magnesium and potassium.
In Hawaiian culture, a gift of salt is a meaningful symbol representing good luck and blessings. On the day Kauai Juice Co opened a Kumu came and blessed our shop and gave us a gift of salt from salt pond beds on the south side of Kauai. It has brought us nothing but good fortune and love ever since.
